Our style is inspired by the modern film style you'd find on a Hollywood film set, giving your wedding the cinematic feel of a scene straight out of a movie. While most wedding photographers stick to wide 35mm lenses, we shoot with cinematic glass, the same style used in your favourite films. This creates rich, flattering depth and creamy backgrounds that feel like a scene straight from the silver screen, while our second camera captures a warm, nostalgic old-film aesthetic. Meet Georgie Ridley.
Georgie Ridley’s journey is grounded in a love for creativity and connection. Starting out as a dancer, Georgie discovered a passion for storytelling early on, creating a short film in high school that won a prestigious competition and led to a two-month residency in the U.S. This kickstarted a love for filmmaking, with more short films earning awards in Sydney and recognition internationally.
After studying a Bachelor of Arts in Screen Production at AFTRS, Georgie honed skills in writing, reviewing, directing, and producing scripts and lighting for film, all while building a career that blends artistry with entrepreneurship. From solo wedding videography to founding one of NSW’s leading dance photography studios, Georgie has built businesses with heart and vision.
Now, through The Echo Vault, Haus of Mercury's Parent! Georgie focuses on creating meaningful stories across boutique wedding photography, boudoir media and film production. Whether behind the camera or crafting a script, Georgie is dedicated to capturing moments that matter and pushing creative boundaries.
